OMOP Standardized Terminologies
The content of this page reflects both the requirements and implementation of the Standardized Terminology as part of the OMOP Common Data Model.
The Standardized Terminology facilitates the OMOP methodological research by making it possible that methods can be systematically applied to produce meaningfully comparable results across different data sources with different coding schemes. The Standardized Terminology enables a mechanism of transforming raw data into standardized data. It also plays a role in searching and querying the transformed data in the Common Data Model, as well as browsing and navigating the hierarchies of classes and abstractions inherent in the transformed data, and interpreting the results returned by those operations.
The Standardized Terminologies are consolidated into 5 tables:

The following proprietary terminologies require an End User License Agreement (EULA) between your organization and the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH):
These resources consist of content subject to copyright from third parties in order to be used for OMOP related research. Your use of these resources is also subject to the terms of the specific licenses.
The EULA can be printed in order to be reviewed by your appropriate organizations’ official signing authority. Since the OMOP standardized terminologies are consolidated, it is not possible to download individual resources. As a consequence, the EULA has to be signed and a hard copy sent to FNIH prior to receiving the terminology data tables.
Please contact OMOP to receive a EULA for your organization to review, sign and return to FNIH. Once the executed EULA is received, the terminology data tables will be sent to you.
